Join naturalist Michelle Harris for a hands-on BioBlitz adventure on Wednesday, June 3 from 6 to 8 pm. This family-friendly guided hike invites participants to explore the native forest behind Kiwi, discover local wildlife, and learn how to contribute real data to citizen science projects.
During the walk, you’ll learn how to use a variety of citizen science apps and document species for the BioBlitz, learn about local plants and wildlife, and gain practical tips for continuing your nature discoveries at home, at Kiwi, and in nearby public conservation areas.
This event is a great way to show your support for local biodiversity and community science.
The cost is $10 per person, with youth under 10 attending for free.
Copies of Explore the Green Side of Edmonton, written by your guide Michelle Harris, will be available for purchase with autographs at the end of the hike.
