Join us for an exciting, interactive Raw Sauerkraut making workshop featuring the incredible Elaine of “The Herbal Mama” at Kiwi Nurseries.

Taste & learn how easy it is to make your own fermented vegetables. Did you know that a spoonful of raw sauerkraut can contain more probiotics than an entire bottle of probiotic pills?
In this workshop you will taste a variety of Sauerkraut medleys, including “Salsa Kraut”, Purple Kraut and a traditional Kim Chi recipe all made from locally sourced vegetables.

Elaine is a Clinical Herbalist and Fermentation Revivalist from Edmonton AB and sells fermented food + drinks at Alberta Farmers’ Markets. Out of her passion for coaching others on how to incorporate nutrient dense food, she fell in love with the art of fermentation for it’s delicious taste & nutritional benefits. She has been teaching fermentation classes across Canada since 2012; including Kombucha, Water Kefir, Beet Kvass, Probiotic Pickles, Sauerkraut and Kimchi.
