This workshop celebrates the beauty and resilience of prairie ecosystems. Participants learn how to create perennial garden plantings that support pollinators, birds, and soil health, while also offering gentle traditional uses as herbal allies. We’ll work with a palette of hardy prairie and native-inspired species such as monarda, blazing star, yarrow, echinacea, blanketflower, black-eyed susan, and sedum.
Together, we explore bloom timing, ecological layering, and simple design principles that create vibrant, low-maintenance gardens with year-round interest. This workshop meets gardeners where they are, whether designing a border strip, a pollinator island, or a backyard medicine wheel.
