A colourful, hardy, multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with an upright, columnar habit of growth. Features dark purple foliage that borders on black, which emerges as a light green in spring, but keeps its black colouring through fall. A beautiful colour contrast between the bright pink blooms in early summer against the black colouring. Glossy purple-black ornamental berries in fall.
