GROWING NOTES

In spring, sow 3-4 seeds, 14-18″ apart in rich, well-amended soil. Cover 1/2″ deep. When seedlings are well established thin to strongest single seedling. Keep well weeded and feed monthly with high nitrogen fertilizer. For transplants, start about 6 weeks early. Provide even moisture as heads are forming. Watch for caterpillars.
