Cutleaf Smooth Sumac

Rhus glabra laciniata

Mounded shrub with red stems and bright green, fern-like fronds which turn scarlet-red in fall. Conical red seedheads form in early fall and persist through winter. Does well in poor soils, drought and heat. Great naturalization and reclamation plant.
