GROWING NOTES

Direct sow outdoors in spring into fertile, well-drained soil. Sow seeds 1″ apart and cover lightly. Keep soil moist during germination and growth. Thin seedlings to 12″ apart when large enough to handle. Sow every 10-14 days through late spring for a continuous supply. Begin harvesting leaves when plants are 12″ tall. Flowers can be picked or left to go to seed. Harvest seed when color changes from green to tan.
