Eastern White Pine

Pinus strobus

A highly attractive shade tree with long, silky bluish-green needles. A tall and wide habit of growth with a strong central leader and a more or less rounded form. Can be prone to windburn in exposed locations. Best grown in somewhat sheltered areas, but requires full sun. Smooth grey bark adds an interesting appeal to the landscape.
