Fiddle Leaf Fig

Ficus lyrata

Although well-known as one of the most finicky houseplants, Fiddle Leaf Figs continue to be one of the most popular houseplants on social media. They prefer a quick draining soil with excellent drainage as they are suseptible to root rot if left moist for too long. Allow the top few inches of soil to dry out completely before watering thoroughly. Fiddle Leaf Figs will thrive in bright indirect light. If you notice any browning on the leaves, provide less sunlight. Because these plants are used to the still environment of the rainforest floor, they do best in an area without any air drafts. Regular misting is recommended to prevent pest infestation and keep the edges of the leaves from browning.
