GROWING NOTES

In early spring, sow directly in the garden in well worked, fertile soil. Space seeds 2″ apart ad 1/2 deep, with rows 18″ apart. keep soil evenly moist. When seedlings are 2-3″ tall, thin to 1′ apart so plants have room to grow and mature. Mulch well to retain moisture. When plants have 6-8 leaves, begin harvesting outer leaves at plant base. Sow again in late summer for another cold-hardy, tender-sweet crop.
