Hoya

Hoya carnosa

Hoyas are a good option for a hanging pot or draping over a shelf. They prefer morning sun or bright indirect sunlight and thrive in quick-draining soil. They like to be root-bound, so repotting should only be done when the roots are coiled and growing out of the pot. These plants are easily propagated by cuttings. Hoyas prefer drier climates, so allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings and water thoroughly. They are suseptible to root rot, so be careful not to overwater. Fertilize once per month during spring and summer with a diluted low-potency chemical fertilizer.
