A very hardy shrub prized for its darker red stems that have their best colour with hard pruning in the spring. Features clusters of cream-white flowers in spring, accenting pointy dark green leaves, emerging deep purple in spring, that turn a brick red in fall. The blooms are very striking against the dark emerging foliage.
