Lipstick Plant
Aeschynanthus lobbianus
Lipstick plants are a good option for a hanging pot or draping over a shelf. They prefer morning sun or bright indirect sunlight and thrive in moist, well-draining soil. They prefer a moist well-draining soil but are suseptible to root rot, so be careful not to overwater. Water when the soil is dry when the soil is dry at least ½” deep.Fertilize once per month during spring and summer with a thin layer of compost or a diluted low-potency chemical fertilizer. Regular misting is recommended to prevent pest infestation and keep the edges of the leaves from browning.
