A versatile, multi-stemmed deciduous shrub, with a more or less rounded form. Has a tall, broad and wide spreading habit of growth. Produces fragrant light pink blooms in early spring, followed by small, sweet, edible red cherries in late summer. Carried in abundance in mid to late-summer, and are excellent for jams and jellies, as well as wine making. Features dark green foliage throughout the season turning to a yellow colour in fall.
