A cold hardy, native, multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with an upright, spreading habit of growth. Ideal for small landscapes with single pink blooms and yellow centers on attractive prickly stems blooming mid to late spring only. To encourage re-blooming, dead-heading is recommended. Produces an abundance of red hips in late summer adding fall interest. Features dark green foliage throughout the season, turning to a yellow colour in fall.
