Kiwi Garden Centre & Nurseries and Kiwi Landscaping (1983) Ltd. employs local individuals and students from our community each season! Position: Retail Sales

Grow your love for plants and the outdoors! Work with like-minded people in a friendly team environment. Our retail sales associates are responsible for assisting with sales, replenishing stock and creating a welcoming environment for customers. Some of the main tasks of this position include: general labour, unloading plants, receiving orders, caring for plant material and customer service.

Kiwi Garden Centre hosts a variety of community-focused events throughout the year, from seasonal celebrations and workshops to large-scale outdoor experiences. We are looking for reliable, friendly, and proactive Event Support Staff to join us on a casual, contractor basis.
This role is perfect for individuals looking for flexible, part-time work to supplement their current employment. Each event is different and different positions will be needed.

Position: Retail Delivery & Planting Crew
Starting Date: End of May 2026 (weather dependent)
Schedule: Weekdays, daytime – some weekends or evenings required
Description: Full-Time, Seasonal. Driving, Labourer, Customer Service.
Starting Wage: $17-$20/hour depending on experience and ability
Create beautiful landscape and assist customers to make their dream yards come true! We are looking for organized, energetic, efficient and personable individuals to fill this position. Tasks include general labour, planting plant material both by hand and with machinery and completing paperwork.
This is a physical job which requires strength (must be able to lift and move up to 50lbs without assistance), and the ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. We do not work in the pouring rain, but do work in wind, light showers and on hot summer days.
Qualifications:
– Be physically fit and capable of repeatedly lifting 50 lbs
– Have a valid Class 5 (Non-GDL) license with a clean driver’s abstract
– Over 18
Assets but not required:
– Air Brake ‘Q’ Endorsement
– Landscaping or gardening experience
– Driving/delivery experience
– Customer Service/Retail experience

Position: Tree Nursery Labourer

Description: Full-Time, Seasonal. Farming, Laborer
Starting Wage: $18.34/hour
Are you looking for a physically active job, which allows you to work with plants and a variety of tools and equipment? Kiwi Landscaping is looking for seasonal Tree Nursery Labourers to join our team to assist in a variety of duties on our 200+ acre tree farm.
This is a physical job which requires strength (must be able to lift and move up to 50lb without assistance), and the ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. We do not work in the pouring rain, but do work in wind, light showers and on hot summer days. We work Monday to Saturday, between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm.
Duties include but are not limited to :
– Tree Planting
– Tree Digging
– Preparing ground for planting
– Weeding
– Hoeing
– Pruning
– Rototilling
– Mowing
– Watering
– Irrigation Maintenance
– Loading & unloading trucks
– Operating equipment (tractor, skidsteer etc.)
We provide training on how to use the proper tools and machinery to complete the job.
