A low-growing, mat-forming perennial with a vivid golden yellow foliage of needle-like leaves, turning a copper-orange in winter. Clusters of tiny star-shaped yellow flowers appear in midsummer. Spreads quickly and can be used as a groundcover.

Finally has been used to treat itchy rashes, ulcers and for the topical treatment of warts, acne, dermatitis and corns.
