Arctostaphylos uva-ursi
A native mat-forming evergreen groundcover with leathery dark green leaves which turn burgundy in winter. Small, fragrant, urn shaped pink to white flowers appear in spring and are followed by red berries in summer. Named for it’s enjoyment by bears.
