GROWING NOTES

Sow directly in the garden or start indoors and transplant after final spring frost. Sow seeds 1/2 inch deep, 1 inch apart in loose, well drained soil. Will germinate in 7-10 days. Harden off plants prior to transplanting. Successive sowings every 3-4 weeks will ensure a continuous supply of fresh baby lettuce throughout the summer. Water regularly. May be necessary to provide shade during hot weather to reduce bolting.
