Sow directly to the garden after final spring frost, 1/8 inch deep, 2 inches apart in well drained, dry soil. Keep moist. Germination 14-21 days. Thin to stronger plants, 16-20 inches apart. Water regularly. For earlier flowers, start indoors 6-8 weeks before final spring frost in well drained compost. Cover lightly and keep warm and moist. Harden off for 7-10 days, then transplant after final frost. Water and feed regularly.
