A hardy, native, multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with an upright, spreading habit of growth. Small white blooms in spring accent green serrated foliage throughout the season, turning to a yellow colour in fall. Arching, red, prickly canes. Small red, edible berries in summer; self pollinating but has higher yields with two varieties. Berries are great for fresh eating , jams and jellies.
