A dense, multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with a compact, rounded form. Foliage is a variegated mix of pink, red, and white on the tips of the branches throughout the season, with the inside of the plant a dark green. The whole shrub turns to a deep purple in fall, and new growth emerges red in spring. Tiny clusters of yellow flowers in mid-spring followed by showy clusters of red berries carried in abundance from early to late fall. A knockout for colour contrast in the landscape.
