Chinese Money Plant
Pilea peperomioides
The Chinese Money Plant, also known as the Pancake Plant, is very recognizable with its round, outward facing leaves. It prefers indirect light, as direct sunlight can damage it’s leaves. Because it is susceptible to root rot, it does not like to be kept in saturated soil. The soil should almost completely dry out between watering, about once per week. A sign that it is not getting enough water is if the leaves and stems begin to droop. However this can also happen if the soil is consistently too wet, so double check before watering.
