GROWING NOTES
Sow this warm-season crop either indoors under lights 3-4 weeks before last frost, or wait until temperatures reach 10-13C and plant seeds directly in the garden in fertile, well-drained soil. Sow 4-6 seeds in mounded 12 inch hills. When large enough to handle, thin to 3 best seedlings per hill. Water vines regularly. Harvest the oblong squash when rinds are hard & creamy yellow. Cut with 2 inches of stem. store in a cool, dry location.
