A native, ornamental, multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with a dense, upright, spreading habit of growth forms a tall, open mound. Large, showy, light purple blooms throughout the summer followed by flat, fuzzy red fruit. Thornless perennial stems with large, lobed green leaves throughout the season, turning a yellow colour in fall, can be somewhat aggresive.
