A dense, multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with a upright, arching, fountain-like form. Showy purple foliage throughout the season, brightening to a purple-red in fall. Features tiny clusters of yellow flowers in mid-spring, followed by red berries in fall. Effective as a deep coloured accent or background plant or as a hedge/barrier planting.
