ZZ Plant
Zamioculcas zamiifolia
Commonly known as the ZZ plant or Zanzibar Gem, these upward-growing plants are tolerant of low to high lighting conditions. Because these plants are susceptible to root rot, a well draining soil such as a cactus or potting soil is recommended. Allow the first few inches of soil to dry out before watering, and ensure the pot has adequate drainage. Fertilize once per month during spring and summer with a diluted low-potency chemical fertilizer.
