Arrowhead Plant
Syngonium Podophyllum
Also known as American Evergreen or Five Fingers, Arrowhead plants are are a good option for a hanging pot or draping over a shelf. They will thrive in bright indirect light but can tolerate lower-lighting conditions. They prefer a moist well-draining soil but are susceptible to root rot, so be careful not to overwater. Water when the soil is dry when the soil is dry at least ½” deep. Fertilize once per month during spring and summer with a thin layer of compost or a diluted low-potency chemical fertilizer. Regular misting is recommended to prevent pest infestation and keep the edges of the leaves from browning.
