GROWING NOTES

Sow seeds directly in the garden in full sun in spring after night temperatures stay above 10 C. Plant 1/2 inch deep, spacing seeds 4 to 6 inches apart. Keep evenly moist. When seedlings are 3 inches tall, thin to stand 1 foot apart, allowing roots and sturdy, tall stalks room to grow. Keep plants well watered.
