A dense, globe shaped, dwarf multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with many thorns. Smallest barberry available. Purple foliage throughout the season turns to a deeper purple colour in fall. New growth emerges red in spring. Yellow flowers develop mid spring followed by sparse, red ornamental berries in fall.
