GROWING NOTES
Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before final spring frost for flowers in 1st year. Sow seeds in rich, moist, well-drained compost. Cover lightly. Germination: 14 days. Keep moist and warm. Harden off and transplant after danger of frost has passed. May need staking. Water frequently and feed heavily. Spray with fungicide if rust develops. Hollyhocks can also be sown directly in the garden in the summer for flowers the following year.
