A very hardy, native, multi-stemmed, deciduous shrub with an upright, spreading habit of growth. White early to mid spring blooms are followed by dark blue, edible berries. Late spring fruit is excellent for fresh eating, baking, and making jams and jellies. Dark green leaves throughout the season, turning to an orange colour in fall.
