Philodendron
Philodendron
Philodendrons can come in many different varieties and colours. They are a good option for a hanging pot or draping over a shelf. This green or variagated leafy plant can easily be started by cuttings in water or soil, and are fast growing in the right conditions. They prefer morning sun or bright indirect sunlight and thrive in moist, well-draining soil. Philodendrons are suseptible to root rot, so be careful not to overwater. Fertilize once per month during spring and summer with a thin layer of compost or a diluted low-potency chemical fertilizer. Regular misting is recommended to prevent pest infestation and keep the edges of the leaves from browning.
