There are over 60 different Succulent families within the Cactaceae family. Most succulents prefer afternoon or direct sunlight and thrive in quick-draining soil. Allow the soil to dry out completely before watering thoroughly. These plants are easily propagated by dropped leaves. Fertilize once per month during spring and summer with a diluted low-potency chemical fertilizer.
