Among the most popular perennial for shaded areas these plants form a sturdy mound of foliage, topped with lily-like blooms. This small selection features glossy yellow leaves with dark green margins and green streaking that are cupped with the ability to hold water. The centers of the leaves lighten to a creamy white throughout the summer. Stalks of  lavender flowers on red scapes rise above in midsummer.
