A compact, dwarf multi-stemmed shrub with a more or less rounded form. Serrated lobed foliage emerges crimson in spring, turning then to a dark maroon in summer ending in a superior red colour in fall making the leaves highly ornamental. Masses of bright pink-white blooms in late spring providing a nice contrast against the dark leaves. The peeling, tan bark adds an interesting dimension to the landscape. Proven Winners plant.
