Bergenia cordifolia 'Winter Glow'
Called a "pig squeak" because of the sound produced when rubbing a leaf between thumb and finger. This perennial features clusters of red blooms in spring. Large leathery dark green foliage on short stems turn burgundy late in the season. Has a ground hugging habit of growth.
