GROWING NOTES

Sow directly outdoors in spring after the last frost. Scatter seeds over loose, fertile, well-drained soil. Rake area to bury seeds 1/4 inch deep. Keep seedbed moist while waiting germination. Thin plants as they grow to avoid crowding. Pull weeds as they appear. For longer lasting bouquets, cut flowers early in the morning when blossoms first open. Use a clean, sharp pair of scissors to cut the stems. Put into fresh water immediately.
