A hardy, dwarf, multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with a more or less rounded form. Features glossy,three-lobed dark green leaves throughout the season, turning to a vivid purple colour in fall. Smooth grey bark and gold branches add an interesting dimension to the landscape. Does well in wetter heavy soil but is drought tolerant once established.
